The first phase of work encompassed enabling works, including the diversion of existing foul and surface water sewers, involving approximately 350m of 1200mm diameter and 350m of 1350mm diameter pipes in trenches up to 6m deep, together with the supply and installation of two 17m x 3m diameter petrol interceptors. Immediately on completion of this work, phase two contract got under way, which saw Marshall Construction carrying out drainage work and external works, including 25,000 sq m of concrete hardstanding and the construction of various retaining walls, road works and a filter pond.
