We were jumping for joy when we were awarded the contract to build the equestrian centre at Oatridge Agricultural College. A main arena and a practice arena were required as well as 400 spectator seats, staff offices and public toilets.
The practice arena measures 60m by 40m while the main arena has a 52m span and is 80m long. A double crane lift was required to put the rafters in place for the roof. High intensity lighting was also installed as a requirement for the TV work the centre will do.
Work was completed in February and the centre is Scotland’s national centre for equestrian events.
Contract Value: £2.2 million |
