Project - Deanburn Primary School, Bo'ness

The building is being seen as an icon for Falkirk Council's imaginative design approach to protecting the environment using sustainable methods and construction materials.
The grass roof is complimented by recycling rainwater collected from the roof being
used to flush the school toilets and it is hoped that the school will be one of the first in Scotland to have some of its power generated by a wind turbine. The HSE has selected
the Deanburn Primary School project as a case study for future debate on health and safety issues regarding construction work in a functioning school and also reviewing the client and designer roles under CDM (Construction Design & Management) regulations.
