Benkert, Alva – Fire damage reinstatement of factory, warehousing and offices

Benkert, Alva – Fire damage reinstatement of factory, warehousing and offices

When Benkert’s factory in Alva went up in flames, Marshall Construction was called in by Benkert Management to help remove 2,000 tonnes of paper as the blaze was brought under control.

Once the fire was under control, the company was asked to demolish the damaged areas, renew parts of the structure and roof and build a new firewall to make the factory wind and water tight – all with extensive existing factory machinery in place.

The factory was rebuilt along with a refurbishment of offices and a new “ink plant”. External works included car parking and landscaping.

Marshall Construction worked closely with Benkert to get them back in business with a minimum loss of production.
